About Ornie:

While doodling one day many years ago, a rather nerdy-looking bird appeared on the page. Unlike most doodles, this one caught my imagination, and I hung it on the wall behind my desk. Soon I named him Ornie as a representative ornithological specimen, and began to wonder what "take" such a nerdy bird might have on life. This led to occasions when Ornie seemed to speak to me, which led to the periodic recording (in cartoon form) of life, nature, and philosophy from a bird's point of view.

Within a few years a substantial number of these Ornie episodes had accumulated in my home office file, but...what should be done with them? They did not fit any standard publishing mode or format, yet I thought that bird and nature lovers, at least, might enjoy them. So they are presented here for your entertainment, or at least your scrutiny.
